August 31, 2004 — FedSource, a Department of the Treasury Franchise Fund business entity for government agencies, was created in 1994 to improve the delivery of products and services. With nine locations around the United States, FedSource provides agencies with access to superior federal-to-federal contracting services. As the procurement agent for FedSource, as well as many other federal entities, our Administrative Resource Center (ARC) awards and administers the contracts covering four core business lines that FedSource uses to satisfy its customers' needs:

- Employee Assistance Programs
- Construction Management
- Operational Support Services

ARC strives to utilize 8(a) small and disadvantaged businesses, the Small Business Administration's Historically Underutilized Business Zone HUBzone companies, service-disabled and other veteran-owned small businesses, women-owned small businesses, and other small business concerns for its contracts. Alaska Native Corporations, which are classified as 8(a), have recently been awarded ARC contracts and are presently being evaluated for FedSource requirements.
