We're "Teaming to Win" with Small Businesses
April 19, 2004 — Public Debt's Small Business Specialist travels to numerous small business outreach events throughout the year to familiarize companies with the process of doing business with Public Debt. These events also allow us to outline current and anticipated opportunities for those businesses to sell their goods and services to Public Debt and to our franchise customers.
We will be attending the annual “Teaming to Win” event scheduled for May 25-26, 2004, in Chester, West Virginia. The purpose of the event is to:
- advance and improve small business prospects in West Virginia
- facilitate educational opportunities
- promote higher business standards, methods, and practices
Although the main purpose of this event is to help West Virginia firms, many small business firms from throughout the country attend to learn more about the federal contracting process and to find potential opportunities to subcontract with the large business firms who are present.
While attending the event, we meet with vendors and advise those vendors as they visit our booth. Since every federal agency with a procurement function located in West Virginia will attend, this conference provides an opportunity for small and large business firms to meet and familiarize themselves with the contracting community.
