Sale Of State And Local Government Securities Resumed

Treasury authorized the resumption of issuance of State and Local Government Series securities effective Monday, July 8, 2002, following enactment of legislation to raise the public debt limit. Entities that submitted subscriptions after May 14, 2002 that were affected by the sales suspension should contact the Bureau of the Public Debt (304-480-5299) for instructions should they still wish to have their securities issued.
